Mathematic and Al-Quran
THE FIRST CONTACT BETWEEN
MATHEMATIC AND AL-QUR'AN
People talks about 19 as a great miracle of Al-Quran.But none of them give a strong focus to surah 57 verse 3 where you can find th two Devine Being that from such number.
We can't talk about Mathematic without mentioning the NUMBERS.
Talking about numbers, the root of everything is what we call "Basic Numeral System".
This is the Basic Numeral System.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9
Some of them call it Hindu-Arabic Basic Numerals. You may ask :"What about ZERO (0)?" My answer is, zero does not have the exact and permanent position. Sometime they put zero before one, and sometime after 9.
Now, all I want to talk about is "focusing the First and the Last".
The First ..1 2345678 9..the Last
The First for the Basic Numeral System is 1 and the Last is 9. No less no more.
When you put the two numbers together, they become 19 (nineteen).
But if you add the two numbers, they become 1 (one)
1 + 9 = 10 = 1 + 0 = 1
In Al-Qur'an alKareem, there is one verse talks about the FIRST and the LAST. That is surah Al-Hedeed or surah 57 verses 3.
It Says,
Bismillahirrahmanirrahiim,Translated by Abdullah Yusuf Ali.
"He is the First and the Last, the Evident and the Immanent: and He has full knowledge of all things".
This is a commentary of Maulana Muhammad Ali from his book:
"The Holy Quran Arabic Text with English Translation, Commentary and comprehensive Introduction"
About surah 57 verse 3
The Holy Prophet has thus explained the four attributes of the Divine Being
mentioned here:
“Thou art the First, so that there was nothing before Thee, and Thou art
the Last, so that there is nothing after Thee, and Thou art the Manifest, or the Ascendant
over all, so that there is nothing above Thee, and Thou art the Hidden, the Knower of the
hidden things, so that there is nothing hidden from Thee” (Muslim. 48:13).
